Meridian Manufacturing: Stainless Steel Chemical Tanks

Chemical storage demands more than capacity. It requires confidence that the tank, the stored product, and the operating environment are all compatible over the long term. Meridian Stainless Steel Chemical Tanks are engineered for industrial applications where corrosion resistance, containment integrity, and product protection are critical to daily operations.

Available in a range of capacities, configurations, and stainless steel grades, Meridian Chemical Tanks are engineered around the product being stored and the operating environment. Interior seams are back welded and pressure tested to help ensure containment integrity, while tanks undergo a re-passivation process that removes free iron from the metal surface to enhance corrosion resistance and help prevent rust. Available in both 304L and 316L stainless steel, each tank can be configured to meet specific site requirements, process connections, and operational needs.

Common Applications

  • Chemical storage and processing

FAQ

Material compatibility should be evaluated based on the chemical being stored, concentration levels, operating conditions, and environmental exposure. While 304L stainless steel is suitable for many industrial applications, 316L may be recommended for more corrosive environments. Meridian works with customers to determine the appropriate material selection for each application.

Back welding and pressure testing help verify tank integrity and containment performance, providing confidence that the tank is designed to safely store industrial liquids over the long term.

Re-passivation is a treatment process that removes free iron from the stainless steel surface. This helps improve corrosion resistance and supports long-term tank performance in demanding chemical storage environments.

Yes. Tank capacities, fittings, access points, and other features can be configured to support specific operational requirements, site conditions, and process systems.

Providing details such as the chemical being stored, concentration levels, operating temperatures, required capacity, and site conditions helps ensure the storage system is properly engineered for the application.
